Trails, trails, and more trails

November 2022

The last couple months I have been on 15+ trails around Albuquerque and beyond. I’ve needed to retreat and let go as leaves do in the fall. Being in nature is where I heal, refresh, and restore my energy. The hikes were inspiring too! Lots of yellow cottonwoods, yellow/green aspens, big skies, ROCKS, carpeted trails of plant life, and grasses swaying in the breeze. My soul jumps for joy exploring new trails, following turns in the bend, and seeing “wildlife”. I bumped into a porcupine (not literally), heard elks bugling near the caldera (would have stayed longer to listen to the orchestra, but a storm rolled in), saw a herd of elks in Chaco Canyon, hawks swooping, bunnies hopping, and deer feeding at dinnertime. The closer I am to nature the more peaceful I am and the louder my soul sings. Stay tuned for new paintings!
