Spin the Wheel

November 2024

What do you do on Friday nights? I collage with friends. We gathered together to nosh, collage, and visit. We each worked on a 14” diameter board. There was an amazing box of magazines to flip through. Thank you, Jamye!

I could tell there was more to this collage than cutting and gluing. It was peaceful to see what sparked as I turned the pages. The piece is elemental (earth, water, air, fire) and there were few components in the collage. One will see amethyst, mountains, a horse, plant life, skies, clouds, and earthen materials. This piece inspired words and ways for me to think about what I’m feeling.

Spin the Wheel

Spin the wheel –

… to see if the green canopy is cascading downward or growing towards the sun.

… to see which direction the energy flows.

… to see if the horse is jumping or falling.

… to see if the sun is rising or setting.

Wind will spin the wheel every minute and mountains kiss me on the forehead good rising and goodnight.
